Women Artists of the West Exhibition This Week Print E-mail
Women Artists of the West (WAOW) will hold its fifth annual art exhibit and sale at William S. Hart Park, Newhall, California, April 27 - 30 in Hart Hall, coordinating with activities of the City of Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival.

WAOW will hold a reception at Hart Hall for the Cowboy Poets and other Festival participants on Thursday evening, April 27th, from 6 pm to 9 pm, including performances by the Lost Canyon Rangers, Cowboy Poet Joe Herrington, and Buck Corbett and the Boys from the Double J, followed by an open mike portion.

The art show and receptions at Hart Hall are open to the public, and admission is free.

WAOW is a national organization of women artists working in diverse mediums and styles. Art featured in the show includes original works in oil, watercolor, mixed-media, pencil, pastel, mezzotint and other fine art print processes, and sculptures in bronze and clay. Subject matter includes western work and horses, landscape, wildlife, still life, figurative and abstract works.

Women Artists of the West show hours at Hart Hall:

      Thursday, April 27th, 2 pm - 8 pm, with a reception for Cowboy Poets 6 pm - 9 pm.

      Friday, April 28th, 10 am - 4 pm.

      Saturday, April 29th, 10 am - 7 pm, with a reception for WAOW 2 pm - 5 pm.

      Sunday, April 30th, 10 am - 4 pm.
