Anthony Davis was arguing with his wife and adult daughter in their Calypso Lane home shortly before 8 p.m. when the conflict got physical and he left the house. The victims, along with another adult female relative, walked out on the front lawn to see which way Davis had gone when they spotted him behind the wheel of his car, driving at a high rate of speed and heading directly for them.

While the daughter and other relative were able to jump out of the way, the suspect’s wife was injured when she was struck by the front fender of the car. After hitting his wife, Davis backed up and drove away, but returned to the scene when he saw paramedics and deputies arriving.

He is being held at Men’s Central Jail in lieu of $1 million bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday. Davis’ wife was treated at the scene for her injuries.
