Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Department officials are reporting that a 21 year old man was severely injured after he fell more than 40 feet from the 4th floor of a parking structure at the Westfield Valencia Town Center.

The man reportedly was trying to slide down the railing of the stairwell when he fell. A nearby friend tried to grab him but was unable.

LA County Fire personnel treated the young man at the scene and transported him to the hospital where his injuries were reported as serious. No official condition is known at this point and the name if the victim was not released by Sheriff’s officials.
