Pride week is in full swing here in Santa Clarita, and the City kicked off the community cleanup with an effort to wipe up some graffiti this afternoon in Canyon Country.

City employees, including division heads, rolled up their sleeves and cleaned up the Whites Canyon bridge, near Soledad Canyon Road.

Pride week runs through Saturday, when a city-wide graffiti clean up day is planned.

But residents are also encouraged to lend a helping hand all month long by planting flowers, removing trash or pulling weeds.

By taking pride in our community, the City hopes it will spark an ongoing effort to keep neighborhoods and common areas like parks and community centers clean.
