Students waiting for bus have electronics stolen by knife-wielding thugs.

UPDATED 10:16 a.m. Thursday

Three high school students were held up Wednesday afternoon while they were waiting for a bus at Via Princessa and Sierra Highway in Canyon Country .

Lt. Mark Hershey told KHTS that the incident occurred at 2:15 p.m. The youths told deputies that two male Hispanics approached them, asking them where they could get some marijuana.

When they answered they didn't know, one of the suspects made a gesture with his hand in his pocket that made the victims believe he had a gun. A second suspect then pulled out a knife, holding it to one victim's stomach  threatening the boys and demanding they give up their belongings.

The suspects got away with an iPod, a cell phone and a calculator, accordind to Hershey.

It was first believed that the suspects had escaped the area and entered Food For Less at Whites Canyon Road at Via Princessa, where deputies surrounded and searched the store, but the victims said the two men apprehended were not those who held them up.

The suspects are described as having shaved heads, wearing blue plaid shirts and jeans and having facial tattoos near their eyes. They are believed to be driving a gold-colored sedan.
