The City of Santa Clarita's annual Holiday Parade will make its way through Old Town Newhall at 9:30 am on Saturday.

The parade will consist of carolers, holiday songs, and kids of all ages enjoying the merriment of the season, and will conclude with a snowball fight in Hart Park.

All children are encouraged to participate in the parade by dressing up according to their unique holiday traditions, or by decorating and riding skateboards, scooters, wagons and bicycles.

Pets, scout troops and cheer or dance teams are also invited to partake in the festivities that will subsequently kick-off the SCV Education Foundation's "Literacy and the Arts Festival" at Hart Park.

The parade will begin at 9th Street and head down Main Street,  turning onto Newhall Avenue and ending at Hart Park.

Line-up and registration for judging begins promptly at 8:30 am.
