To enhance law enforcement’s ability to solve crimes, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved a $159,343 grant from the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and a $1,057,121 grant from the United States Department of Justice, for the Sheriff Department’s forensic sciences program, Supervisor Michael D. The grant funding will be used by the Sheriff’s Department to secure continued education and training programs for the Department’s full-time forensic scientists.
