The SCV Sheriff’s Booster Club has made a big purchase that will offer some much needed storage space for local deputies.

120 full size equipment lockers have been installed at the station, thanks to a $50,000 purchase by the Club. The lockers will now be put to use by deputies, who are required, or choose to carry extra equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.

The equipment includes things to better prepare the responders for any emergency, like CPR masks, bolt cutters, fire suppression gear, and crowd control devices.

In the past, deputies would have to lug the equipment around the station, finding random corners to store it in. Now they will be able to use the lockers, which are more secure and are located in close proximity to the Sheriff’s vehicles.
