Lockheed Federal Credit Union (LFCU) announced today two winners of their “Student of the Month” program for the month of February. Canyon High School senior Shannon Krell and Sierra Vista Junior High eighth grader Chika Kondo were chosen by their principals for their outstanding achievement in academics and citizenship.
LFCU’s “Student of the Month” program, newly launched within the William S. Hart School District, recognizes two students each month throughout the academic year from each high school and junior high. Winning high school students receive a cash award of $250 and junior high students receive a $250 savings bond. The student’s school receives $250 cash. LFCU has a similar program within the district recognizing outstanding athletes during the football, basketball and baseball seasons.
