Congratulations to David Horst of Valencia High School for being selected as “Player of the Week.”

In a game that saw his team claim a share of the early Foothill League lead, Valencia’s David Horst was at his best.

For that he has been named the Lockheed Federal Credit Union Boys Basketball Player of the Week. Horst was on fire in Friday’s 63-57 win over previously unbeaten (in league) Saugus. The senior scored 27 points in the game, including four 3-pointers. He also recorded a game-high six steals.

For his production, Lockheed Federal Credit Union will donate $250 to the Valencia High School booster club.
