Boys & Girls Club Of Santa Clarita Print E-mail

Sponsored by Providence Holy Cross Health Center

The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley stopped by the KHTS Community Resource Station on May 19 & 23, 2008 to promote their upcoming fundraiser on the KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight.

Hosted by Janice Murray the KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight airs Mondays and Fridays at 10AM on AM-1220 KHTS and is sponsored by Providence Holy Cross Health Center.

On June 14, 2008 the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley are holding their 37th Annual Benefit Auction – ‘A Night On The Diamond’. Co-Chairs Chell and Greg Amsler invite you join the fun. The event features gourmet cuisine, a live auction and performances by singer Sarah Niemiets and Dance Studio ’84. The benefit will take place on the lawn at the Mann BioMedical Park in Santa Clarita. Proceeds will fund after-school programs for 3,500 local kids.

Now in its 40th Year, Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley continues to be a vital resource for our youth. Formed by a group of community leaders who saw a need for a place where kids could go for affordable high-end recreation programs, the organization has come a long way since, servicing the after-school needs of kids and teens at club locations in Newhall at Newhall Park and the facility in Canyon Country, on the campus of Sierra Vista Junior High School. There is also a smaller satellite club in Val Verde.

KHTS thanks Ivan Price, Dawn Coupe and Greg Amsler for spending time on the Non-Profit Spotlight.
