On April 16, 2007, KHTS was pleased to welcome back ‘Circle of Hope’ to the KHTS Community Resource Station. Jordana Capra and Karena Lineback were featured on the KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight – hosted by Janice Murray and sponsored by our friends at Valencia Acura .

Jordana and Karena dropped by to talk about the assistance and services Circle of Hope can offer those diagnosed with breast cancer living in the Santa Clarita Valley that are experiencing financial hardships or whose benefits fall short.

Circle of Hope is a 501 (C) 3 Non-Profit organization and depends on donations and sponsorships that make it possible to provide financial and emotional support to those breast cancer patients that truly need it most.

The 3rd Annual ‘Walking for Hope 5K & Convoy for Hope’ fundraising event takes place on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Castaic Lake. Families, groups and even dogs are encouraged to attend.

Karina Lineback is the owner of Pilates Teck. There will be a ‘Pilates Teck Fair” on Saturday, April 28, 2007 from 12-5PM. You can reserve a ½ hour or 1 hour Pilates class. 100 % of the proceeds will go to Circle of Hope. Please call  Pilates Teck at (661) 260-1609 for more reservations and information on this fundraiser.

Circle of Hope is the creation of Colleen Schaffer. Colleen was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 1999. After a double mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation treatment, Colleen spent the next three years in remission. In 2002 her cancer returned and spread to her liver, spine and hips. She dawned a pink wig, wings and the ‘Angel of Hope’ was born. In 2004 Colleen started Circle of Hope.
