Theatre Project SCV Print E-mail
Monday, 23 June 2008
Sponsored by Providence Holy Cross Health Center

June 23, 2008, we welcomed back our friends Andrea Slominski and Mark Salyer from Theatre Project SCV. We featured Molly Slemp, Gabby Caruso, Allie Palmer and Steve Hensley and Melissa Wharton of the Appalachian Children’s Theatre on the KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight.

Sponsored by Providence Holy Cross Health Center, AM-1220 KHTS brings you the Non-Profit Spotlight – hosted by Janice Murray every Monday and Friday at 10am.

Melissa and Jerry Wharton, founders of the Appalachian Children's Theatre in Virginia brought four of their top students to observe the classes and attend private sessions with teachers from the Theatre Project.

This program, in it's second year, is generously sponsored by Lou and Rita Garasi, McDonalds of Santa Clarita, and Melissa and Jerry Wharton, founders of the Appalachian Children's Theatre in Virginia.

In the fall, the Theatre Project will bring classes east with a series of workshops supported by ACT and several Virginia arts organizations

The SCV Theatre Project is currently serving over 70 COC students in their second series of Master Classes and workshops from top teachers and artists in the theatre.
This amazing summer theatre training program brings Internationally & Nationally recognized Master Teachers in all aspects of theatre; Acting, Musical Theatre, Voice, Movement and more to local students and community members for community college prices. The cost of bringing these teachers to Santa Clarita is fully underwritten by the SCV Theatre Project and their educational sponsors.
