On October 22, 2007 AM-1220 KHTS was please to welcome Sharalyn Hamilton and Jerry Citarella of the Volunteer Resource Center. We featured this outstanding organization on the KHTS Non-Profit Spotlight Show with Janice Murray – sponsored by Valencia Acura .

The Volunteer Resource Center of SCV is helping nonprofit organizations find solutions to volunteer recruitment and at the same time connecting those interested in offering their time and talent to the place of need. The have put together a printed directory which lists nonprofit organizations in Santa Clarita. Through their website – www.VolunteerInSCV.org individuals and nonprofit organizations can create their own unique online account that will connect volunteers and organization.

The Resource Center provides training and resources to build the capacity of nonprofit, community service organizations to better serve the needs of our community.  They are committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and nonprofit management within their own organization as a model for their nonprofit clients.  Through their program and outreach, they provide the links for businesses and residents to be part of "helping the community help itself."
