An 83-year-old Valencia man took the car out for a spin Thursday and failed to return, leaving his wife of nearly 40 years alarmed and puzzled.
“Normally I go with him every time,” said Aida Kinney, who spent Thursday night on the couch trying to sleep after her husband’s mysterious absence. “I don’t know what to think. I think he went to a place and he took a wrong road. This has never happened, never.”
The mystery was compounded Friday when Aida Kinney learned one of her husband’s credit cards had been used at a Newhall gas station about midnight Thursday.
