Bus Evacuated After Noxious Vapor Released

More than a dozen passengers were overcome by fumes on a Santa Clarita Transit bus Monday afternoon when someone reportedly released a noxious vapor inside the vehicle. Of the 40 passengers on the bus, 18 were treated for irritated eyes and coughing, said sheriff’s Lt. Brenda Cambra. Three of the injured passengers, who are underage, were transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. Cambra said they were taken to the hospital because there were no adults to whom they could have been released.
