After years of delays, Castaic high school is projected to be built by 2010, but the cost has escalated by tens of millions of dollars. Director of Facilities Mike Otavka, who oversees new construction for the William S. Hart Union High School District, said the forecast for construction alone may be in the range of $80 million to $90 million. When all costs and fees are accounted for, the cost his department envisions is between $120 million and $130 million.
