Clients can access their pet’s medical records, schedule appointments and request prescription refills from any computer using a convenient service called Vet Port.
“It’s our record-keeping system, so we’re completely paperless,” said Dr. Jaimie Ronchetto. “It’s really quick and easy. A couple clicks and we just get them instantaneously, and we can always give you a call back. It’s very convenient.”
Ronchetto and her veterinary staff not only see dogs and cats, but also “pocket pets” like bunnies, guinea pigs, chinchillas and ferrets. In addition, a second veterinarian who sees birds and reptiles works alongside Ronchetto twice a week.
“There aren’t that many doctors out here that will see those critters, so that’s nice to have,” Ronchetto said.
Available services include wellness visits, internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery and more.
When a pet is in need of orthopedic surgery, a board-certified surgeon will perform the surgery at Cinema Veterinary Centre’s facility so Ronchetto can provide post-surgery care.

With the holidays approaching, Ronchetto stressed the importance of being careful what pets eat.
Feeding dogs their own version of Thanksgiving dinner is “asking for trouble,” she said.
“They can’t digest things the same way that people do. (Holiday foods) are highly fatty, highly rich foods that they’re not used to. It can cause vomiting, diarrhea, pancreatitis… All sorts of things you don’t want.”
