City to Hold Design Workshop for Future Skate Park

The City of Santa Clarita will host the first public participation design workshop for the new Santa Clarita Sports Complex Skate Park on Saturday, December 2nd, 2006, from 9:30am to 11:30am. The Santa Clarita Sports Complex is located at 20870 Centre Point Parkway in Canyon Country.

The workshop, which will be conducted at the sports complex activities center, will work to identify the appropriate elements and design of the new and improved skate park from the publics’ point of view. Community members are invited to participate in the meeting lead by City staff and skate park design consultants.

“We are excited to expand the Sports Complex and incorporate the ideas and opinions of our community into the design of the new skate park,” commented City Mayor Laurene Weste.
