Departments to develop a Veterans Internship Program

Los Angeles County – To address a disproportionate unemployment rate among recent American veterans, Los Angeles County Mayor Michael D. Antonovich and Supervisor Don Knabe have introduced a motion directing County departments to develop a comprehensive Veterans Internship Program that includes outreach, new hiring protocols and education.

"Our veterans have served our nation and sacrificed their lives for our freedom," said Mayor Antonovich.  "This program will provide our veterans the opportunity to apply their skills, learn new ones and compete effectively for employment."
