Free Lunch Time Trolley! Print E-mail
The City of Santa Clarita presents the Hometown Trolley as your new way to travel to lunch, FREE!  The Hometown Trolley will roll onto local streets beginning Monday, December 1, and will provide free lunchtime travel for two areas.

“We are very excited to offer this new service to our community and encourage Santa Clarita residents to utilize the Hometown Trolley for all mid-day, local dining or shopping travel.  Just flag down the Trolley driver for passenger pickup," stated City of Santa Clarita Mayor Laurene Weste.

Every Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Hometown Trolley will provide free lunchtime service within the Valencia Industrial Center, every 15 to 20 minutes.  Routing will begin on Stanford Avenue at Technology and travel along Hopkins Avenue and Rye Canyon to the eateries around Newhall Ranch Road and Copper Hill Road areas.  After enjoying over 30 locations where food and beverage may be purchased, passengers can re-board the trolley for a free ride back to work.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the Hometown Trolley will provide transportation in and around the Westfield Valencia Town Center, Promenade, and other area locations.  Santa Clarita’s trolley will operate every 15 minutes along Valencia Boulevard, Magic Mountain Parkway, and through the mall to Town Center Drive and the Promenade.

With more than 70 combined food and beverage locations to serve patrons, a free ride on the trolley will provide an easier, more convenient way to get to your favorite places.
