Henry Mayo Home Tour Takes to Westridge Print E-mail

Community members are invited to a special viewing of four stunning, professionally-decorated custom estate homes located in the Westridge community as part of Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital’s 26th Annual Holiday Home Tour on Saturday, December 2.

“I think we are so fortunate to be featuring four homes from the new Westridge community for the first time this year, as many of the homes have only recently been finished,” said Home Tour League President June Poulin. “Finding these four homeowners who were ready to be on the Home Tour was lucky indeed!”

The tour, themed “A Holiday Renaissance” and hosted by the hospital’s all volunteer Home Tour League, is part of a time-honored holiday tradition that has drawn thousands of visitors to view beautifully-decorated homes in the Santa Clarita Valley for a quarter of a century.

Visitors will enjoy obtaining early holiday decorating ideas while supporting their community hospital.

This year’s featured estate homes include: a Spanish-style home with a relaxing, Bahama-inspired interior; a traditional Tudor home; a Tuscan Villa; and a French, country-style home.

“Each one of these homes is uniquely spectacular because they are custom-built and each reflect the distinct character of the homeowners,” said League Home Chair and owner and designer of Di Valerio Interiors Kitchen and Bath Design in Santa Clarita,Pam Di Valerio.

The annual Home Tour will be preceded by a kick-off Holiday Preview Gala at the Tournament Players Club in Westridge the evening of Friday, December 1. The $100-per-person, black-tie optional gala will offer community members a preview of the estate homes to be featured on the Home Tour the following day.

In addition to Saturday’s tour of homes, an annual holiday Boutique will take place at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Assembly Hall in Newhall. The boutique will be open to all at no charge from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. December 2. More than 50 boutique vendors will offer a treasure trove of items including: clothing; handcrafted items; holiday décor; and gifts galore.

Complimentary refreshments will be served by Gloria Barrett in the “hospitality” room adjacent to the boutique as the hospital’s “Thank You” to the community for all of its support throughout the year. Proceeds from the two-day events will go toward the hospital’s Women’s Services Unit.

The Home Tour will be open to all adults and children over 12 years of age between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Saturday, December 2. Tour tickets are $25 if purchased before December 2. Tickets will be available after November 1 at participating Santa Clarita Valley stores as well as the hospital’s gift shop and Health Foundation office.

Tickets purchased on the day of the tour will be $30 and available at the boutique or at any of the featured homes. For information about ticket locations, please contact the Henry Mayo Foundation at (661) 253-8082.
