A firm preparing the preliminary environmental assessment on the proposed site of the Castaic high school at North Lake has concluded that  “further investigation of the site is not necessary.”  While the report found that Benzene was detected in one soil gas sample at a concentration above the laboratory detection limit, the sample was below the laboratory reporting  limit.
