The Dunamis group of Santa Clarita invites you to attend the 2nd annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast for the Santa Clarita Valley on Friday , May 5th from 7: 00 am- 8:30 am at the Valencia Hyatt Grand Ballroom. The purpose of the breakfast is to show our support for local leaders and elected officials. The first National Prayer Breakfast was held by President Eisenhower in 1953 in
Washington, D.C. The tradition has continued throughout the years across the country.
Speakers will be Laurene Weste, Butch Hartman, Creator of Nickelodeon’s Fairly Odd parents. Senator George Runner
Join and support many of our elected officials, among the invitees are Assemblyperson Sharon Runner, Supervisor Mike Antonovich, Assemblyman Richman, Local City Council members, many of our local school board members. It has been proven that communities united in prayer and faith flourish and are more successful than those without that common bond. There is a quiet army of people who diligently pray for the people in authority and help to make the Santa Clarita Valley such a wonderful place to live.
At the breakfast, people of all faith will come together to pray for our local leaders. We believe this to be an important task. We know that our leaders are confronted with numerous issues, from traffic impact to racial tension, and make long-lasting decisions that will impact our community for generations. Our leaders need wisdom, guidance and support in making the right decisions on a daily basis. In addition to breakfast, entertainment will be provided by a local Choir, followed by our speakers.
The event will be laced with prayer for our communities. To reserve space at the breakfast, visit our website at www.dunamis.us or call 661-295-8552.
Tickets are $25 per person. Seating is limited so order your tickets now. Your prayers and support are important to our leaders. We sincerely hope that you will be able to attend the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast and trust that you will be blessed in doing so.
