Los Angeles County Supervisors unanimously voted to use a portion of a $1 billion budget surplus to hire hundreds of deputies to be placed in the Santa Clarita Valley….
The county plans to use the money to hire more prosecutors and replenish reserves for health care which has faced many challenges locally in recent times.
More than 1,200 new sheriff’s personnel will be sworn in, according to the new budget.
