Dozens of students clapped and cheered as California Highway Patrol officers made an appearance at Pinecrest School in Valencia on Monday and carted away hundreds of gifts the children had donated to the CHP’s toy drive. Pincerest’s 225 students collected more than 600 toys for the drive, said Judy James a teacher and Student Council advisor with the school.
