Providence Holy Cross to Display Student Art

The Art of Healing Grand Art Display will feature the talents of local young artists from the Sulphur Springs School District.

The Art of Healing community art program collected more than 140 pieces of artwork from elementary school children as young as 4 years old.  Children in the Santa Clarita Valley were invited to submit their creations to the Art of Healing with the chance to win a one-year scholarship to SCV-Arts.  All the submitted artwork will be unveiled, and 16 art pieces will be chosen as winners to be displayed on the walls of the Providence Holy Cross Health Center for the next 3 months.    All submissions will be displayed during the event.  This community art program was a joint collaboration between Providence Holy Cross and SCV-Arts, and is sponsored by KHTS AM-1220 and Mercedes Benz of Santa Clarita.

Come to the opening of the display on Saturday, November 11th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Providence Holy Cross Health Center at McBean Parkway at Valencia Boulevard, on the first floor.

Art, no matter the format, can be used as a method of healing for the artists, visitor and patient alike.  The program will enhance the arts for Santa Clarita youth and local artists, stablish a venue to display their art and provide an opportunity for child artists to receive scholarships.  More importantly, the displayed art will help the healing process for thousands of Providence Holy Cross patients and visitors.
