The Grand Opening of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Care Center took place this morning at Newhall Elementary School.

Kaiser Permanente teamed up with the Newhall school district  to form the health center, which will be open on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 to 4:30.

“Newhall is such an area of need, so it’s great to be here,” said Dr. Michael Gales, who will be working at the clinic.

Councilman Bob Kellar gave a speech, and emphasized his appreciation for the people who came together to make this possible by saying; “Whoever said that Santa Clarita doesn’t take care of their own?
