New lieutenant also starts as part of response to growing concerns over lack of county funded personnel. Four new detectives & one lieutenant have begun working at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station in response to continued concerns that there’s not been an increase in county funded personnel parallel to the growing cost the city pays for police services.
