A small blaze broke out off the Southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Templin Highway at 11:20 a.m…. The fire was so small it only burned about 600 square feet….
Fire officials said that even through the recent hot weather has elevated the fire danger throughout the SCV, nighttime humidity has been very high, partly because of the leftover moisture from the record-breaking winter rains.
