Super Bowl Violence Myth Debunked

Is there truth behind the urban myth that more women are victims of domestic violence on Super Bowl Sunday than on the other 364 days of the year? 
   

 A respected Web site that aims to prove or disprove urban legends has debunked the myth. It cites the timeline of how the myth gained steam before Super Bowl Sunday in 1993.
On the Thursday preceding the big event, a coalition of women’s groups called a news conference in Pasadena, where they offered anecdotal evidence supporting the contention.
