Supermodel Beverly Peele pleaded not guilty to felony charges of credit card theft in the Santa Clarita Superior Court on Friday. The 30-year-old Saugus mother of two was arrested Dec. 26, 2005, for allegedly stealing two people’s credit cards and charging an estimated $10,000 to purchase a refrigerator, washer, dryer and bedding. Peele, who has worked in the modeling industry since the age of 12 and has appeared on more than 250 magazine covers, allegedly charged the credit card of an Orange County man who has used it at the John Robert Powers modeling agency, where Peele had worked. She is also accused of making illegal purchases on a Valencia woman’s credit card, which she found at a local supermarket before returning it to the owner. Famed Jackson family attorney Brian Oxman is representing Peele, who will appear in court March 30 for a preliminary hearing. Oxman has summoned several witnesses for the defense.
