Transformer Explosion closes Magic Mountain

Several underground electrical transformers exploded cutting out power and forcing Six Flags Magic Mountain to close early Thursday…

Magic Mountain closed 2 hours early Thursday after the transformer explosions knocked out power to over half of the theme park.  According to park officials, there wre no injuries or ride issues; however, there were loud explosions heard in front of the park’s ticket booths around 5:15 p.m.
