Two Arrested for Allegedly Firing at Guard

Two men were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of firing with Airsoft rifles at a security guard in a housing tract.  Joshua Friedman, 19, and Mathew Audelo, 18, were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, According to a statement released by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. A lone security guard was patrolling Tesoro del Valle Community Park at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday in the 29200 block of  Mission Trail Lane in Saugus . The security guard, whose name was not included in the station’s statement, reported that two men shot at him with rifles. The security guard followed the shooters as they drove away in their 1950s Chrysler, and obtained the car’s license number, the statement said. Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies located the vehicle on Valencia Boulevard at Interstate 5 and performed a traffic stop. The car was searched and deputies discovered Airsoft rifles, the statement said. Friedman and Audelo were arrested on suspicion of assault and taken to the SCV Sheriff’s Station. The two men were being held Wednesday in lieu of $50,000 Bail.
