Hosts: Ron Tunick, Brien Johnson
Guests: Carl Goldman and Douglas Green
Topic: Adapting to/Lasting in a Changing Marketplace
Ask Brien Radio Show airs weekly on Thursday from 1 PM – 2 PM on KHTS AM 1220.
On today’s program, the hosts open by welcoming Hometown Station co-owner Carl Goldman to the program. Carl identifies significant day-to-day challenges that he faces as a business owner.
In a moment of candor, he explains that it has taken him some time and effort to calibrate his leadership style to the Millennial generation. With immediate access to information, many young adults have become accustomed to constant engagement and instantaneous results. In order to translate those same attributes to the workplace, Carl highlights that employees must feel that they are making a genuine impact on the business operations.
During the second segment, Douglas Green, owner of Newhall’s Douglas Furniture joins the program. Having been in business for 42 years, Mr. Green is able to identify key qualities any business owner must possess in order to last in a changing marketplace.
