Help the Children – July 24, 2017

Help the Children aims to feed, supply health services, provide disaster relief, and aid other subgroups such as veterans, deaf students and orphans in the Greater Los Angeles area.

By staying connected with Help the Children through volunteer opportunities, social networking, and newsletters, you’ll become more aware of the ongoing need that exists throughout the world. We encourage you to join us.

More About the Organization

We have specific programs created to meet a variety of global needs. We offer aid through our Burma Pig Farms, Deaf Ministries, Military Family Assistance, Solar Laboratories, Kenya School, and Malaria Prevention Campaigns. Use your gifts, talents and abilities to get involved.

Whether it’s planning for a military family food box day, teaching students, or advancing bed net awareness, every bit of help matters.

Know that there are definitive ways to help your neighbors in need. We have designed a food distribution program that allows people throughout Southern California to receive food consistently. Our generous suppliers donate food on a regular basis, while our committed volunteers pack boxes for distribution to local centers. Lead by example.

About Justin Powell

Justin moved to the San Fernando Valley from the Inland Empire in 2011 to complete his BA of Communications degree at California State University, Northridge. Just a few months after getting his degree he moved to Valencia and started as an intern at AM-1220 KHTS, and was promoted to Sports Reporter within a year. Though Justin is still relatively new to the Santa Clarita Valley, he is an avid sports fan and passionate about building the sports department at KHTS into a special source for local high school sports.
