  1. Of course menopause is no joke; in my case it was only crying, howling in pain lunacy, seizures and gasping, then shedding of spittle and tears. Perhaps my being a physician barred my use of HRT-in principle the most effective yet the most risky, and I did not use antidepressants, because much debilitated as I was I was still motivated for work had I been well-but hot flashes would keep me bed-ridden. Healthy diet, of grains, nuts, vegetables, fish, and yoghurt, Herbal concoctions, of fennel, sage, and orange blossom, and anise drinks helped a little, yet my hot fiashes were crucifying, and my mindfulness and endurance, allowed my survival over those thirteen years already. Very recently, data points to moderate effectiveness of soy extracts, but their exclusive safety is still not documented.
Though my case is a rarity, menopause is very torturing for the majority of women, and understanding this allows amelioration of stress at ignorance of its reality, and also understanding its weird symptoms through discussion as herein!
