We incorporate technology into every component of our curriculum, and we value and encourag the development of leadership skills by inspiring confidence and character in each of our unique learners.
We know that for our learners to succeed, they must feel at home in the world. This requires a firm grounding in the arts, humanities, and sciences — and a strong foundation in social and emotional development. We believe there is an implicit, as well as an explicit, curriculum to teach, and our goal is nothing short of shaping learners who change the world.
iLEAD Schools are based on a new paradigm: Project-Based, Deeper Learning. At SCVi, we create open, innovative K-12 learning environments that promote a deeper understanding of curriculum and celebrate independent critical thinking, cooperation, and the development of crucial 21st century skills.
Affectionately known as “Danber,” Dawn and Amber are passionate about creating educational options for families that are innovative, engaging, and supportive. They opened SCVi in 2008, and have since successfully launched several other school sites under which became what is known today as the network of iLEAD Schools. Dawn and Amber’s compassionate, open leadership style enables families and educators the flexibility to collaborate and work together to create viable solutions in all kinds of education, ranging from full independent study to full classrooms based options and everything in between.
