Santa Clarita Gazette Radio Hour – April 10, 2015

Another terrific hour with Doug and John on The Gazette Radio Hour!  Mr. Music filled in for Doug today.  Doug and Mr. Music enjoyed a great banter first segment, before talking to Alan Ferdman, representing the Canyon Country advisory council, about current issues that affect Santa Clarita, like traffic and the water shortage. Adam Hartley from Afterburn Fitness also came by to talk about whether it’s too late to get in shape for summer.  Adam promptly replied “it’s never too late”, before saying that anyone looking to get fit and in shape can make substantial changes by June.  Adam also talked about the need to change up your exercise routine to make the most out of your exercise, since your body will eventually get used to the regimen and you won’t see as strong results.  Adam also gave a definitive opinion on whether age matters: no.  To Adam, age doesn’t matter as long as you’re putting forth the effort (he’s seen a 70 year old do pushups in his class!).

National correspondent Robert Patrick Lewis talked about the situation in Iran.  Robert revealed, perhaps surprisingly, that the youth in Iran are very pro-America, while the older generation there are not.  Robert also speculated on what Republicans beside Paul and Cruz would run for the Presidential nomination.  “What candidate just wants to make a better world?” Mr. Music asked.  Robert replied that Paul was the last great hope, but that he didn’t think he had any chance of winning.
