Santa Clarita Gazette Radio Hour – 12/12/2014

Another riotous Gazette Radio Hour today with Doug and John!   Doug talked to the chair of the Canyon Country Advisory Committee Chair Alan Ferdman about the mayor issue in Santa Clarita today.  Alan defined the difference between mayor and city manager for Doug and John.

Resident News Director Perry Smith stopped by to talk about local Santa Clarita news, including the Cemex Bill – the 1.1 trillion in spending authorized by the House for the upcoming fiscal year.

Gazette writer and recurring Gazette force of nature Rob Lewis also stopped by to discuss the Cemex Bill.  He analyzed the confusion surrounding the country’s budget, and that at the end of the day, politics is more of a plutocracy than a meritocracy, considering that private donors can now donate more money than ever to candidates.  Rob, as someone with substantial experience working for the armed forces and inner knowledge of the workings of the U.S. government, also explained the three levels of torture used by the United States government to extract information from terrorists.
