The Process of Grief – Aging With Power – October 3, 2017

On this episode of Aging With Power, Myles opens with Alex Urbina to update the community in the wake of the horrendous act of terror in Las Vegas, Sunday night. Alex gives the names of the two people from the Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys that lost their lives, John Phippen and Jenny Parks, as well as the at least nine wounded. Dealing with and living with grief is the next painful phase.

Next Myles is joined by a few people doing great work over at UCLA Health.

“I think just be loving, caring and compassionate … give people the room to share … just create an open space for people to share.” – Alex Urbina

“Breast Cancer Awareness Month is important because one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their life.”

Justin moved to the San Fernando Valley from the Inland Empire in 2011 to complete his BA of Communications degree at California State University, Northridge. Just a few months after getting his degree he moved to Valencia and started as an intern at AM-1220 KHTS, and was promoted to Sports Reporter within a year. Though Justin is still relatively new to the Santa Clarita Valley, he is an avid sports fan and passionate about building the sports department at KHTS into a special source for local high school sports.
