“Our promise to the community is to provide high quality treatment.” – Bob Sharits

On this episode of The Way Out Recovery Hour, licensed marriage & family therapist Charity Wabuke of the Child & Family Center (program manager for 12-17 year olds and 18-25 year olds) to discuss the new Drug Medi-Cal Waiver, as well as some new and innovative programs in treatment.

One such new way of treatment is the several new and extensive individualized assessments that are used to create personal plans catered to each client.

“Substances impact people differently.” – Charity Wabuke

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has approved California’s Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS) Waiver amendment which provides a continuum of care modeled after the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria for substance use disorder treatment services.
The Drug Medi-Cal Waiver amendment is significant for more and better care for substance abuse and addiction treatment.
