Total Financial Solutions Safer Money Hour With Arif Halaby – 5/19/2015
Hour 1 – City of Santa Clarita is one of California’s leaders in Non-Profits, and in the first hour Arif and Jeff welcomed guests Dr. Sandhu and Robin, to discuss their upcoming animal vaccination fundraiser event at Vazquez High School, with 100% of the proceeds going to the school. Dr. Sandhu, a veterinarian, explained how it important it is to keep animals safe and vaccinated and to take advantage of the affordability of the event at Vazquez High School. He, as well as Robin, have trained horses for years, and Robin has recently turned to her latest passion with training camels. Several animals will be in attendance for people to pet and feed, such as Dr. Sandhu’s goat, and even one of Robin’s camels!
Hour 2 – Roth IRA accounts are about taxes, what the Roth IRA does is tells the IRS, “take this money and apply this certain set of rules”. In the second hour Arif and Jeff tell witty anecdotes and give analogies for how things are done, and should be done, as Americans saving and planning for retirement.
