After his voice changed at 10, and his first on-air experience at 11, John worked his way through college in radio, earning a B.S. in Mass Media/Communications/Journalism in Texas, then went on to Masters work in National Security Studies at Cal State-San Bernardino. 

He is presently working on a Ph.D. in International Business Management/Human Behavior, and has taught numerous media courses at two different universities. He has worked as a news director, reporter, & stringer for various companies, and did his broadcasting 'tour of duty' over the years with stints in Little Rock, New Orleans, Chattanooga, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Palm Springs, Riverside, & Los Angeles, having shared some great times at outstanding stations like KLAZ, WDXB, KLIF, KHJ, KWXY, KFRG, & KLAC. John also spent time working for several years at Westwood One Radio Networks here in Valencia. John has one daughter who is happily married and lives in New Orleans. John and his wife Dana returned to Santa Clarita in April of 2005 following an almost 4 year fulfillment of a Polynesian dream come true, having built, owned, and operated radio & TV facilities in the South Pacific.

John is glad to be back to 'civilization', and really enjoys working at AM-1220, KHTS!
