One person was killed in a fatal 14 freeway crash early Friday morning, officials said.

Just after midnight, a sedan collided with a big-rig on the southbound 14 freeway just north of the Golden Valley Road off-ramp, CHP officials said.
According to CHP officials with the traffic management center, the big-rig was on the shoulder of the road when the sedan collided with it.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Nobody was transported to the hospital from the crash, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The cause of the fatal crash is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Friday morning.
