City Of Santa Clarita, Red Cross To Host Community Blood Drive At City Hall

The City of Santa Clarita plans to partner with the American Red Cross for a community blood drive at City Hall.

The blood drive is expected to take place on Thursday, Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Santa Clarita City Hall, located at 23920 Valencia Boulevard. The drive will take place in the Century Room.

Residents are encouraged to register in advance online to save time. Walk-ins will be accepted.

To donate blood, participants can register online, using sponsor code cityofsantaclarita. On the day of the blood drive, pre-registered residents can use an online portal to start the screening process before getting to the City Hall donation site, saving up to 15 minutes.

On donation day, participants can go directly to the Century Room on the first floor for evaluation, to ensure they are eligible to donate. All participants must have a valid ID to donate.

National statistics from the American Red Cross show that every two seconds, someone needs a unit of blood.
