The accomplice in the 2017 Canyon Country murder was scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday, but had her case continued until August, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Jaqueline Arreola, 24, pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact in the 2017 murder of 25-year-old Ivan Solis at Begonias Lane Park in Canyon Country.

Nicholas Colletta, 20, is the suspected gunman who shot Solis on July 11. Santa Clarita deputies and paramedics received calls for hearing several gunshots at the park just before 5 a.m.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found Solis with multiple gunshots wounds. He was declared dead at the scene, according to officials.

Arreola was arrested and charged on suspicion of accessory to murder because she had knowledge about the crime and deliberately concealed it, officials said.

She was also initially charged with premeditated murder, but that charge that was later dropped when she pleaded guilty. Arreola will return to court for another sentencing hearing Aug. 20.

Colletta, who pled not guilty, is still awaiting his day in a courtroom.
