Air Quality Unhealthy In SCV This Weekend

Air quality will be unhealthy for sensitive individuals in East San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, West San Gabriel Valley, East San Gabriel Valley and San Gabriel Mountains this weekend according to the South Coast Air Quality Management District.

People living or working in the East San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, West San Gabriel Valley, East San Gabriel Valley and San Gabriel Mountains areas with heart disease, asthma or other respiratory diseases are advised to minimize outdoor activities by Los Angeles County Interim Health Officer, Jeffrey Gunzenhauser, MD, MPH.

Schools with children who have sensitive conditions, including heart disease, asthma, and other chronic respiratory diseases, should not participate in outdoor physical activity and should stay indoors as much as possible.

The Department of Public Health is committed to protecting and improving the health of the nearly 10 million residents of Los Angeles County.
