The community is invited to “The Golden Oaks of Santa Clarita,” an art exhibit by artist Brad Sergi celebrating the beautiful oak trees that have blanketed Santa Clarita for centuries.
The art exhibit, which features works created using a method of combined photography, digital painting and painting on canvas, will be on display at the Valencia Library from February 1, 2018 through June 1, 2018.
Santa Clarita has been home to tens of thousands of native oaks which majestically spread over local mountains and line streams, contributing to the beauty of Santa Clarita’s natural landscape.
“The Golden Oak trees are the guardians of Santa Clarita. They grow in very unique, random shapes and forms. They remind me to be a strong, unique individual with a free creative spirit,” says Sergi of why oak trees became the topic of his exhibit.
Brad Sergi is an award-winning photographer with nearly 55 years of experience behind the lens. Brad is a member of the Santa Clarita Artists’ Association and has had his work displayed in multiple galleries throughout the City.
