Bridge to Home continues year-round fundraising efforts to assist homeless individuals in the Santa Clarita Valley find permanent housing.
Whole Foods in Valencia will donate five percent of all sales to Bridge to Home on Wednesday, March 25.
The event will run 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Valencia Whole Foods store at 24130 Valencia Blvd., Santa Clarita.
“We are so pleased that Whole Foods is hosting this event to benefit Bridge to Home,” said Eden Ari, board member of Bridge to Home.
The Bridge to Home Santa Clarita Emergency Winter Shelter closed for the season on Sunday, March 15.
The Santa Clarita Shelter, which opened on Nov. 25, served 250 clients during the 2014-15 season, said Tim Davis, executive director of Bridge to Home.
During the time the shelter was open case management personnel at the facility worked with individuals to attempt to find permanent housing solutions, said Davis.
“We continue to work with individuals to assess the reasons for homelessness and develop a plan, either job assistance, mental health care or other needs that can provide a solution,” he said. “Our goal is to find a permanent housing solution for each homeless person.”
